Make these simple switches for a happier and healthier year.

Now that we’re in February, many of us have either stuck to our New Year’s resolutions, while others have gone back to their old ways. Whatever the case, there’s still time to make habits for the new year that can improve your health and happiness. Fortunately, being healthy can fit in with any budget and schedule! Check out these simple tips to help you have a healthy and happy 2018.

Get Outside as Much as Possible

Getting outside in any weather has many benefits. Even if it’s just a stroll on your lunch break or first thing in the morning, spend a few minutes to recharge in nature, breathe in fresh air, and increase your heart rate with light exercise. Whether it’s a short walk, a bike ride, or throwing the ball for your dog, you’ll soon feel the benefits of it.

Unplug More Often

It’s no secret that technology is taking over our lives in today’s world. It’s important that we are strict with ourselves and family about how much time we spent on devices. Watching TV or scrolling through your phone at night can hinder sleep and lead to other problems such as headaches. Try to establish a routine where devices aren’t used before bedtime. It’ll help you to sleep better and encourage more family time!

Exercise Everyday

Exercise is essential for our health as it improves our mental and physical wellbeing. Just 20 minutes a day is the daily recommendation which, even with how busy our lives get sometimes, every single one of us can make time! Find a workout that you love to do, whether it’s running in the park, going to the gym, or attending an exercise class, and make it part of your routine. You’ll soon find that you are happier and healthier for it!

COVID-19 Update:

The Coronavirus, officially COVID-19, has become a global health emergency. One of the measures Hoffman Brown Company has taken to keep our CLIENTS and Teammates safe was to design a complete virtual work environment. For the foreseeable future, our colleagues will be conducting business virtually to avoid any disruption in our ability to serve you. These measures are based on the CDC’s guidance and will evolve with the situation. Please know that we are fully functional, available and look forward to being of service.
