Hoffman Brown Company is very active in the local community and believes in giving back to others in need. As part of an ongoing initiative teammates volunteer throughout the year at various non-profit organizations.
Dianne Ewing of Hoffman Brown shares her experience:
“I recently spent the day with 3 of my teammates helping in the Emergency Food Bank at MEND (Meet Each Need with Dignity). We packed 324 boxes with canned vegetables, canned fruit, rice, beans, pasta, cereal & juice. After we finished packing the boxes, they were sent to another area where other volunteers added fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh bread and meats. The boxes are distributed to low income families from the local area.”
“It’s hard to explain the incredible feeling we got from knowing that our 6 hours of effort that day would help feed over 300 needy families that week. It definitely supports the old saying that “it’s better to give than to receive”.
Other HBC teammate volunteers described their time at MEND as extremely rewarding and humbling. They were proud to help in the Emergency Food Bank at MEND.
