2017 Open Enrollment –Mark your Calendar!!

INDIVIDUAL MEDICAL INSURANCE

OPEN ENROLLMENT PERIOD: 11/1/17 – 1/31/18

With the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, it’s become important for all Americans to mark certain healthcare related dates on their calendars. Whether you’re an individual looking to buy or change coverage during open enrollment there are important dates to anticipate as the deadlines have changed.

This year open enrollment begins on November 1st and ends on January 31, 2018.

During open enrollment, you can:

  • Purchase medical insurance
  • Change to a different medical insurance plan
  • Change to a different insurance carrier

*IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO ANTHEM BLUE CROSS MEMBERS who are enrolled in an (ACA) Affordable Care Act plan in the Southern California region. You must change carriers. Anthem Blue Cross will not have plans available in 2018. The deadline for you to select a new carrier and a plan is December 15, 2017. The 12/15/17 deadline is for Anthem Blue Cross members, ONLY and has been put into place to allow a timely process of changing carriers and to ensure that coverage is effective as of January 1, 2018, without a break in coverage.
