Are you worried about the Wuhan coronavirus? At this point, who isn’t? Over the past few weeks, there has been growing concern inside and outside of China. The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared a global health emergency over this virus that has killed at least 2,004 people following an outbreak in the central Chinese city of Wuhan. A total of 74,185 cases of infection have been reported across China, most of them in Hubei province, of which Wuhan is the capital.

 

To help you stay informed about the coronavirus, take a look at this amazing tool by John Hopkins University. The digital dashboard records the confirmed cases, total deaths, and total recovered in a visual map of the world. This is especially useful when you are planning to travel or to simply keep up-to-date with the latest recordings in your local area. Importantly, updates are extremely frequent.

 

As always, it’s good to practice basic hygiene to avoid the chance of catching a virus or cold. Make sure you:

  • Wash your hands frequently
  • Avoid touching your face, mouth, and nose
  • Get plenty of sleep
  • Eat healthy food with plenty of vitamins
  • Exercise often
  • Avoid close contact with other people who have a cold or the flu
